Making a difference in the communities in which we serve includes creating meaningful partnerships with the corporate sector. Common Cents strives to build these connections with corporations thereby allowing us to fulfill our mission to enrich our communities. This support is critical and helps us provide meaningful service-learning opportunities for over 500,000 elementary and middle school students. Corporate partners play a huge role in the continuing success of Common Cents and the Penny Harvest. There are quite a few ways that your company can contribute to improving the education of our children.
School Sponsorship Opportunities – There are plenty of opportunities for your company to give back to your community and have your contributions noticed. For every $400 donation, your company can sponsor one Penny Harvest school, thus covering ALL of the costs of bringing the Penny Harvest to its students (curriculum, tools, logistics and technical support). For $2,000 your company can be a Borough Sponsor and support one school in each borough. Your company will be honored in our annual publications and events. Sponsors receive an end of year report listing the causes and charities children in their sponsored school decided to support, and have the opportunity to visit their school and see student grant making in action.
Matching Gifts – You can also contribute to Common Cents on an individual level by asking your employer if the company has a matching gifts program. By signing up for such a program, your generous donations will have TWICE the impact, allowing us to provide more and more children with the benefits of becoming civically engaged. We are available to make corporate presentations and invite employees to conduct site visits to participating Penny Harvest schools.
